This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on platform.fixxo.ai, what each type does, how long it lasts, and how you can control them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits — can do comparable things. We refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.
Our approach
We keep this simple. We set only strictly necessary cookies without asking you. Anything non-essential is off until you turn it on, and you can change your mind at any time.
We do not use cookies to sell your personal information, and we do not use them for cross-context behavioural advertising.
The categories we use
1. Strictly necessary
Always active. Cannot be switched off. These make the site work and keep it secure. Without them, pages will not load correctly, forms will not submit, and your preferences cannot be remembered.
- Session management — keeping you recognised during a single visit.
- Security and fraud prevention — protecting against cross-site request forgery and automated abuse.
- Load balancing — distributing traffic so the site stays available.
- Consent state — remembering what you have chosen about cookies, so we do not ask again on every page.
These are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure service, and they do not require consent.
2. Preferences
Off until you turn them on. These remember choices you have made so the site behaves the way you expect next time.
- Your chosen postcode or service area.
- Interface preferences such as your last viewed category.
- Whether you prefer email contact to text.
3. Analytics
Off until you turn them on. These help us understand which pages are used, where people get stuck, and where our explanations are not clear.
- Aggregate page-view and navigation measurement.
- Error and performance monitoring, so we can find broken pages.
- Measurement of whether a page leads to a booking or an application.
We configure analytics to avoid identifying you personally where the tool allows it, and we do not build advertising profiles from this data.
4. Advertising
We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell data to advertising networks. If we ever introduce advertising cookies, this policy will be updated first, they will be off by default, and they will not be set without your consent.
How to control cookies
- Our cookie banner. When it appears, you can accept or reject non-essential categories, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie preferences link in the footer.
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. If you block all cookies, parts of the site — particularly booking — may not work.
- Global Privacy Control. We honour browser-based opt-out signals such as GPC as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing.
- Mobile device settings. Your phone or tablet has its own limits on tracking, separate from the browser.
Third parties
Some cookies are set by service providers who help us run the site — for example our hosting and payment providers, and our analytics provider if you enable analytics. We require them to use cookies only for the purposes we have agreed, and not for their own advertising.
Do Not Track
There is still no agreed industry standard for how a "Do Not Track" signal should be interpreted. We honour Global Privacy Control where your browser sends it, and we do not attempt to override either signal.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new category of cookie, we will update this policy, change the effective date, and — where consent is required — ask for it before any such cookie is set.
