Launching in Northern Virginia

Tell us what's wrong. We handle everything after.

Send a photo of the problem. Fixxo works out what's broken, gives you a fixed price before anyone is dispatched, and matches one verified technician — with the reasoning shown. Plumbing, electrical, heating, appliance and handyman, in one place.

No account needed. No doorstep quoting, ever.

How it works

Three steps, and you approve the last one.

Describe the problem

Send a photo, a voice note or a sentence. The AI identifies the likely fault, asks the one or two questions that actually change the price, and drafts the job in plain English for you to check.

Get one matched technician

Not five companies calling you back. We match one licence-verified technician on skill, distance and availability, show you why they were chosen, and give you a fixed price.

Approve the work

You see before-and-after photos and the completion checklist. Approve it, and only then is the payment released. Something wrong? There is a defined resolution process, not a complaints inbox.

Why Fixxo

The problems the existing platforms cannot fix.

Every home-services marketplace runs the same model: sell the same enquiry to several contractors, charge each of them for it, and take no responsibility for what happens next. That model cannot solve the things that actually go wrong.

You don't know what's wrong, or who to call
Describe it any way you like. The AI identifies the fault, asks the questions that move the price, and scopes the job in writing before anyone is dispatched.
Paying for leads makes everything more expensive
Contractors pay $40–120 per lead whether or not they win the work, and that cost lands in your quote. Fixxo takes 15–18% only on a completed, approved job — so no lead cost is priced in.
Three to eight strangers calling you back
Shared-lead platforms send your request to everyone buying leads in that trade. Fixxo matches exactly one verified technician, and shows you the score and the reasons, so the choice is auditable.
The price arrives after the work
You get a fixed, AI-scoped price before dispatch. The technician cannot re-quote at your door, and the price does not move because of what they find.
Unverified strangers at the door
Every technician's licence is checked against the Virginia state board at match time — not self-attested, not a purchased badge — with photo identification shown on arrival.
Jobs that cross trades have no owner
A leak plus electrics plus patching is one brief, one coordinated job and one accountable party across plumbing, electrical, heating, appliance and handyman.
Service areas

Five cities to start.

We open an area only when enough technicians are verified to hold quality in it. If we are not in your postcode yet, tell us — demand decides where we go next.

For technicians

Keep 82–85%. No lead fees.

Nothing to pay to see a job. Nothing to quote it. You are paid 3–7 days after the customer approves the work, and the customer's money is already held in escrow before you start — so you never chase a homeowner.

  • You set your own rules — radius, minimum job value, the trades you take.
  • Licence and insurance verification is carried out and paid for by Fixxo.
  • No exclusivity. Keep every other channel you work with.

Questions

Answers, before you ask.

How much does Fixxo charge?
You see a fixed price before anyone is dispatched, and that price does not change at your door. Our commission is 15–18% of the completed job, with a $25 minimum. It is paid by the technician out of the job value, not added on top of your quote.
When is my card charged?
Your payment is authorised at booking and held. It is only captured after you approve the finished work. If the technician cannot make the appointment, the hold is released automatically.
Are Fixxo technicians licensed and insured?
Every technician's licence is checked against the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation and re-checked at dispatch. Every business must hold a current general liability certificate. Water-heater work is licensed plumbing in Virginia at any price.
What if I am not happy with the work?
Do not approve the job. Tell us what is wrong and we will arrange a repair or a refund. Every job carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee, and unresolved complaints follow a written resolution process with defined time limits.
Which areas do you serve?
Launching across Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, Ashburn and Fairfax. We open an area only when we have enough verified technicians to hold quality in it.
What does it cost to join as a technician?
Nothing. There are no lead fees, no subscription and no cost to quote. You keep 82–85% of the completed job and are paid 3–7 days after the customer approves the work. Verification is carried out and paid for by Fixxo.
