The problem isn't finding a contractor.
It is everything that happens after you find one. Nobody can tell you what is actually wrong, so you cannot tell who to call. The price only appears once someone is standing in your kitchen. Nobody is accountable when the job crosses two trades. And you pay before you know the work is any good.
Fixxo exists to take those four problems off the homeowner, in that order.

What we are building
A home-repair service where the hard part — diagnosis, scoping, pricing, matching and payment — is handled by software, and the physical work is handled by a licensed technician who is paid properly and on time.
The AI is not a chatbot bolted onto a directory. It reads the photo you send, identifies the likely fault, asks the questions that change the price, writes the job brief, and matches the technician. If it is unsure, a person takes over. What it never does is leave you guessing about the price or the accountability.
We are deliberately starting in five Northern Virginia cities rather than nationally, because density is what makes a fixed price honest and a same-week appointment possible. We open an area only when enough technicians are verified to hold quality in it.
Four rules we don't bend.
One job, one technician
We do not sell the same job to several contractors. One brief goes to one matched, licence-verified technician, and you see why they were chosen.
The price is fixed before dispatch
Not a range, not a call-out fee that becomes something else. Any genuine change is documented in the app and approved by you before it happens.
We only get paid when you approve
Your payment is held from booking until you confirm the work is done. If it is not right, the money does not move while we fix it.
Licences are checked properly
Verified against the Virginia state board at match time and re-checked at dispatch — not a self-uploaded badge, and not a bought verification seal.
Where we are
Fixxo is a Virginia company preparing to launch across Northern Virginia's western suburbs — Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, Ashburn and Fairfax. It is an early-stage business and we are upfront about that: the six launch categories are fixed, the area list is short by design, and we would rather open late than send a bad technician.
If you are a homeowner outside those areas, or a technician who works elsewhere in the region, tell us. Demand and supply decide which city and which category opens next.

How we handle your data and your rights.
We collect as little as possible: what is needed to diagnose the job, match a technician, take payment and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing texts or calls without your written consent.
